    Position:         Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Sharps Brewery

    Location:        Rock, Cornwall

    We are looking for somebody to come in and “Raise the Bar”. You will be responsible for ensuring achievement of the daily production plan, company vision and business plan in terms of value, quality, service and people. You will also oversee the drive for a high-performance culture and to drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve both plant and process operations.


    Sharp’s is proud of consistently turning out the highest quality beer to our customers and there is currently an exceptional opportunity, due to expansion, for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance of all production and non-production facilities and equipment, across the site, to ensure we are able to continue turning out award winning beers like Doom BarAtlantic, Wolf Rock, Sea Furyand Sharps Pilsner.


    As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer the key responsibilities will be as follows –


    • Fully support the engineering operation including - safety, quality, performance, fault finding and maintenance (reactive and preventative) of all equipment
    • Compliance with all relevant EH&S standards, legislation and site quality procedures necessary for the safe delivery of your tasks and brewery operations
    • Monitor safe working of contractors, including checking method statements and risk assessments, producing permits to work and conducting contractor safety inductions and carrying out inspections of working practices
    • Provide support with continuous improvement initiatives where necessary


    In order to be considered for this outstanding opportunity you will need the following skills and experience –

    • Time served engineer in either an electrical or mechanical discipline
    • Experience of working in a high pressure, fast moving manufacturing environment
    • A proactive approach to fault finding paired with excellent communication skills
    • Team player with a flexible and pragmatic attitude
