    At our head office in Burton on Trent (the home of brewing!) we are looking for someone to

    be part of an extended HR team who is passionate about delivering pension advice to our employees.  

     

    Due to internal promotion we have an opportunity for a Pensions Specialist to join our HR function. Reporting into our Pensions Manager for the UK& you will provide your expert pensions knowledge to our members.

     

    Job description

    You will provide support to the Pensions Manager UK&I in relation to all aspects of the Company's Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension arrangements includes supporting the trustee board and their Committees to ensure they operate effectively and meet all governance and regulatory requirements.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    You will be proactive in providing operational support to the DB trustee board and its committees including:

    • Assist in the production of meeting papers, drafting agendas, meeting scheduling, taking minutes, monitoring and progressing action points. 

     

    • Maintain, update and develop pension plan online document library/archive and electronic meeting paper management to ensure it remains up to date with all plan documentation. 

     

    • Support on all aspects of operational governance including monitoring of plan's risk register, annual business plan, conflicts policy/conflicts log, group life insurance policy, business as usual guide.

     

    You will own, review and process all invoices to ensure timely payment to include payment of advisers'/suppliers' professional fees, investment transactions in relation to drawdown and disinvestment administration including monthly plan cashflow rebalancing.  This will involve regular liaision with plan's investment managers, fiduciary manager and asset custodians.

     

    You will liaise with third party administrator to monitor ongoing work and project delivery (including involvement in the production of the DB plan's Annual Report and Accounts to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance).  You will review and control the administrative quality at both member and pension plan level through regular service delivery meetings, quarterly reports and identify and escalate issues to our Pensions Manager as necessary.

     

    You will have a proactive approach in providing support to our Pensions Manager in relation to regular and adhoc DB projects including the process to select and appoint Member Nominated Directors (MNDs), carry out Trustee Effectiveness reviews.

     

    Assist in the delivery of projects to promote high levels of employee understanding and engagement around the DC pension provision including taking part in roadshows, presentations and one-to-one meetings with members.  Act as a point of reference on pensions matters for the business including HR, finance and members / employees as required.

     

    Key skills and experience

     

    To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting the management of trust-based schemes. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and experience of investment and cash-flow administration.

     

    Required skills include:

    • You will have demonstrable experience of DB and DC pension arrangements and pensions legislation/regulatory framework
    • You will have experience of relationship management with internal and external stakeholders and ability to deal with employees at all levels as well as Trustees and management.
    • Strong financial acumen
    • Ability to provide project management support.

    You will execute the pension plan financial transitions in a timely manner with zero errors, failing to do this will have serious adverse impact on pension plan financial performance and a knock-on effect to Molson Coors Brewery UK performance.

     

    You will have the ability to analyse and interpret complex investment and financial data.  Excellent attention to detail, proactivity and adherence to asset dealing deadlines required; failure highly likely to lead to significant financial loss for pension plan.

     

    You will be comfortable with liaising with multiple advisers and suppliers to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved.

     

    Ideally you will be degree level or equivalent and working toward professional pensions qualification.
