Legal Counsel – European Procurement (Maternity Cover, part time)
An exciting opportunity to join the legal team here at Molson Coors on a maternity contract and gain experience of a multinational business.
This is a temporary, part-time position to cover a period of Maternity leave within the team based in Burton Upon Trent.
Part time hours: 17 - 20 hours a week

What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for providing legal support to the European Supply Chain, Procurement and Risk Management Team with a focus on multi-jurisdictional procurement agreements.
A key part of this role will be delivering commercial advice to key stakeholders and the global procurement team. You’ll do this through negotiating and drafting multi-jurisdictional procurement agreements with suppliers and providing ad hoc advice to stakeholders. You will be supporting on complex transactions and projects as well as developing and maintaining a broad grasp of legal issues in territories covered by role.
You will be tasked with supporting and maintaining effective processes for the review, approval, execution and archiving of procurement agreements; the development of the Procurement Contracting Management System and improving, maintaining and monitoring contract compliance levels within the European procurement function.
As Legal Counsel, you will assist in delivering legal and compliance training to more effectively support the European procurement teams by assisting with preparation of training materials, managing compliance obligations in relation to new customers and suppliers, delivering face to face and electronic training on topics including ABAC, money laundering, data protection, competition.
You will also support the implementation of global tools, documents and training to support the European Procurement Team. It is crucial that you focus on continual improvement to ensure templates remain fit for purpose, consistent with best practices and enables Molson Coors to do business effectively.
Who are you?
To be considered, you must have proven PQE experience as a Solicitor (alternatively significant time spent as a paralegal may be counted towards PQE) and must hold current practising certificate.
Commercial contracts experience is essential so please be sure to highlight this on your application.
