We are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Welder/Pipefitter. The ideal candidate will maintain and carry out all engineering and interventional activity on kegging, brewing and process operations and to look after all the services on site. This role will deputise for the Brewery Engineering Manager in their absence. 


The key responsibilities as the Engineering Welder/Pipefitter will be as follows –

  • Fabrication and installation of hygienic process pipework throughout the brewery operations, working on Water, Steam & Product pipelines.
  • Installation of new plant, equipment or services. Routine maintenance checks of the wells, boilers, water filters, refrigeration plant and air compressors.
  • Maintenance of all mechanical/electrical equipment and plant through planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Maintaining all hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and undertaking fabrications when required.    
  • To ensure the department and working areas are to a high level of cleanliness and tidiness. To ensure that all records are kept up to date for BRC and associated audits.
  • Undertake risk assessments when required. Work within all local hygiene, health & safety and environmental legislation, working at heights, confined spaces and hot work permit rules. Ensure best practice, including and not limited to HACCP, COSHH, BRC, FEMAS, Safety and the Molson Coors way and maintain personal legislative training compliance. Maintain hygiene and safety standards.


In order to be considered for this outstanding opportunity you will need the following skills and experience -

  • A time served engineer with a recognised apprenticeship or degree qualified in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Hold the relevant professional qualification e.g. 17th Engineering experience within a fast moving manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and engineering techniques in process control, Packaging and Utilities.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work flexibly and make decisions to achieve department goals.                 
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels, including contractors
