12 Month Industrial Placement Student – Burton Brewery - Packaging

Offering a salary of £19,000 per annum you will work alongside experienced professionals for one of the largest breweries in the world and, as a placement student you will provide support to the packaging department.
This is where the beer is packaged into the various formats, across multiple SKUs (stock keeping unit) in small pack (canning & bottling) & large pack (kegging). The department is a fast moving, high pressure environment which is capable of producing 270,000 cans, 99,000 bottles and 2,000 kegs every hour.
During your placement, you will have the opportunity to work on and lead projects where you will be involved with optimising the packaging process through identifying areas of process improvement and introduce new, efficient solutions.

Skills you need to be successful in this role
We are looking for people who are studying relevant degrees for their chosen role(s). Within packaging we are ideally looking for individuals who are studying a technically orientated degree e.g. Engineering/Mechatronics or any other relevant degree subject. You will also be predicted a 2.1 or above in your chosen subject.
