We have a great opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our fantastic team within our Sharps Brewery – Rock Cornwall.
Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be required to take ownership of forecasting and budgeting of stock, sales and costs for Sharps Limited. In addition, you will manage IT and accounting systems. You will be required to take full financial responsibility for Mariners public house.
You will be required to manage a small professional team.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
You will have through operational responsibility for the end results of planning, finances, budget. You will be required to set policies and strategy for your business area.
- Forecasting and budgeting of Sharps Limited, including IOP, site supply chain,
- Sharps Marketing and Events, including overheads.
- Reporting of MCBC and MOP Cask sales.
Financial responsibility for Mariners Public House
- Cash management
- Tax liability.
Management of Sage
- To manage Sage stock file
- Bill of material files
- POP process Sages
- Management of Sharps credit control function and MOP sales and cloaked sales
- Sage support and Telecommunication contracts
- Management of IT hardware requirements and support.
- Support P&L projects, such as pricing and costing new Sharp's products
- Restructuring and other-cost efficiencies.
- Set functional strategy for own team
- Performance manage a small team and create a supportive working environment.
Key qualifications and experience
Required: ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
Preferred: Educated to degree level or equivalent.
You will have demonstrable experience of managing a team and performance management.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
Your influencing skills will be crucial as you will be required to influence key stakeholders within our company.
Knowledge of UK and US GAA (and IFRS) accounting requirements is a key requirement of this role.
You will demonstrate strong financial analysis skills, you will also have a demonstrable track record of driving improved cash conversation.
You will be fluent in English.
Preferred: Experience in an FMCG organisation would be an advantage.
